A Meaningful First Milestone: Our First Season Auditions

Yesterday marked a major milestone for Inspiration’s Edge: our very first season auditions.
Not our first show. Not opening night. Not even our first rehearsal.
Our first season auditions.
There is something incredibly vulnerable and powerful about auditions. They represent possibility. They represent trust. They represent artists walking into a room and saying, “I’m willing to co-create with you.”
And that’s exactly what we experienced.
We are deeply grateful for every performer who showed up ready to co-create. The courage it takes to audition is no small thing. The heart, preparation, and generosity in that room reminded us why we started Inspiration’s Edge in the first place; to build something collaborative, something rooted in community, and something that expands what theatre can look like here in the Hi-Desert.
We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kelly’s All Beauty for opening her intimate space to us. This is what community collaboration looks like; local businesses and local artists coming together to make something meaningful happen. It was the perfect setting for connection, creativity, and bravery.
This wasn’t just a casting call. It was the beginning of creative momentum.
Seeing new faces, familiar faces, seasoned and emerging performers, all sharing space affirmed what we’ve always believed: our community is full of people ready to tell stories, take risks, and grow together.
We don’t take that lightly.
This first season auditions day will always stand out to us — not because it was perfect, but because it was brave.
And brave is a beautiful place to begin.
